Soul Alphabet is a platform ran by women of color that empowers creatives in Australia and Afrika through design, Music and art.
we believe that creative outlets should encompass all viewpoints of society. Soul Alphabet was created with the aim of supporting the often marginalised narratives and viewpoints of people of color. Our mission is to create an engaging and interactive platform that allows creatives of color to showcase their work. Secondly, we believe in the importance of creating a safe and non-judgmental space that enables creatives of color to freely express themselves.
We are able to empower artists by creating collaborative events in Australia and various Afrikan countries. Diversity and inclusion is showcased at every event, and it can be seen through the; nationalities of every artist, genders and the type of artistic outlets. Every event aims at working with film-makers, musicians, photographers, poets and much more.
After every event, Soul Alphabet donates funds to African founded non-for-profit organisations that support vulnerable African women and children. Since 2017, we have donated to Mission Australia (Global), Habeeb Mental Health Hospital (Somalia), Root Foundation (Rwanda) and we want to continue building this list!
Through our blog, we aim to celebrate the creativity of various artists (those who we have worked with and much more). Additionally, we are transitioning into a creative agency, our mission is to support people of color and African creatives. Through this agency, interested parties can now easily find creatives on a single platform and reach out to them.
